Elmer J. Burgess

	Elmer J. Burgess Sr., 62, of Bowling Green, Ky. and Tamaroa, passed away at 2:19 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2002 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green, Ky.
	Elmer was a fork lift operator for General Motors Corp. at Bowling Green.  He was a member of the Tamaroa Christian Church and the U.A.W. Local Union 2164.
	He was born March 5, 1939 at Mayfield, Ky., the son of Elmer Ardie and Geneva (Russell) Burgess.  He married Wanda Weisel on September 19, 1959 at the Tamaroa Christian Church and she survives.
	He is survived by his wife of Bowling Green, Ky.; six sons, Elmer Burgess Jr. of Tamaroa, Eugene Burgess of DuQuoin, Elliott Burgess of Tamaroa, Edward Burgess of Tamaroa, Eric Burgess of Tamaroa and Edmund Burgess of Tamaroa; one daughter, Flora Geneva Burgess of Bowling Green, Ky.; three brothers, Harold Burgess of Fancy Farm, Ky., Richard Burgess of OFallon and Eugene Burgess of OFallon; two sisters, Vera Ann Mitchell of Belleville and Dorothy Williams of Murray, Ky.; 20 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
	He was preceded in death by his parents.
	Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, March 8 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Bro. Arven Kirkpatrick officiating.
	Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
	Interment was in the Antioch Cemetery at Tamaroa.
